Elk CreekBefore long the History of this Sub-Alpine Forest located in the Rogue-Umpqua National Forest will only be accessible on foot. Most of this area is being signed into National Monument. See this beautiful country before every road is gated. Places like Rabbit Ears, Abbott Butte, Donovan Prairie, Neil Springs and several Historical Cabins are being erased from maps and will soon be inaccessible with motorized vehicles.

The forks of salmonFrom the high mountains of the Trinity Alps, Russian Mountains, and Marble Mountains the Salmon Forks is born. The Salmon River comprises two forks, the North Fork and the South Fork, which join at the hamlet of Forks of Salmon, California to form the main stem of the Salmon River. An Epic April Ride!

The Trinity Alps / Big FlatCoffee Creek is the northernmost community in Trinity County, and was a very rich mining center during the Great Gold Rush. Legend has it that a pack train loaded with coffee for the gold fields was washed away in a torrential flood, hence the name "Coffee Creek." Others contend that the normally crystal clear waters were colored a deep rich coffee color by the spring runoff. ...More info here!
